Leadership Academy Develops Chapter Leaderships Skills

Past, current, and future chapter leaders met for a weekend of leadership training and networking on the campus of Missouri Western State University at the 2020 Leadership Academy on February 7-8. The morning sessions focused on the responsibilities of chapter officers. In the afternoon, participants were able to choose from many elective sessions that covered topics such as Authentic Performances, Building a Cadre of Volunteers, Start With Why, How to be a Great Lead, BHS Website and Member Center, and Youth Outreach.

Participants remarked that the event was well organized and that they learned a lot.

Feedback from one participant stated "I have been a chapter leader for years and yet I always learn something new when I attend Leadership Academy. The ability to network with other leaders who face the same challenges as my chapter is more than worth the registration cost. As long as I am a chapter leader, we will be sending people to this wonderful event."

Start making plans today to invest in your chapter by sending your current and future leaders to the 2021 Leadership Academy. It is scheduled for February 5-6, 2021. More details are to come, but registration will be available at the 2020 Fall Convention.
