Message from CSD President Duane Lawson

I would like to say that after 30 years of singing Barbershop, that entering my first year as The Central States District President during a pandemic was everything I had ever hoped for. There is always hope!

I will say that I am very proud of the 2021 CSD Board of Directors and Program Administrator Team.

We have been working hard to come up with opportunities for our district. CSD is working with Harmony Hall to create a Leadership Academy that is hosted through Virtual Midwinter. Everyone wanted to offer a live event, but we feel this is the best option in our current environment.

We are also creating a Quartet Only Competition to replace our Spring Convention in Lee’s Summit, MO. Look for information as the event will be broadcasted so you may cheer for our CSD quartets.

My hope is that we will have a safe environment for our Fall Convention in Lawrence, KS. Can you believe we will celebrate our 75th Anniversary!! Keep connecting with your chapter and with your barbershop family! If there is anything I or the district leadership can offer you or your chapter, please let us know.
